You don't always need a large space to create intimacy. We deliberately chose an Irish pub for our portrait shoot. It's a place that has already collected many stories.

The atmosphere of dark wood, soft lighting, and a 60s mood slows things down and relaxes you. That's exactly what makes individual portrait shoots so exciting: you walk in, leave everyday life outside, and can reconnect with yourself.

Surrounded by old mirrors, an empty bar, and hazy air, we began taking the first pictures. Without pressure, without the urge to perform, the first genuine moments unfolded.

As the portrait session progressed, the initial nervousness quickly subsided. The gaze softened, movements became more natural and relaxed. A portrait can be so much more than just a picture. A moment of self-recognition: “Wow, that's really me!”

This session showed exactly that: I don't just photograph how you look, I photograph how you feel.
You are seen honestly.

The 60s-inspired aesthetic created a mixture of retro atmosphere and emotional depth that makes this portrait shoot so special.

When portraits become honest, a very special magic is created. And sometimes the perfect place for that is an Irish pub.
