There is no single way people should look like in photographs.

A wedding needs something different from an afternoon with two people in love, and a portrait session can become an entirely different world again. Kathrin works between documentary observation and deliberate direction, responding to the people, place and energy in front of her rather than following a fixed formula.The result can be quiet, playful, cinematic or raw — but it should always belong to the people in it.

A couple session doesn’t need a milestone attached to it.
It can be a morning by the sea, a few hours in a city you love or simply time set aside for the two of you.

The session takes its shape from your relationship, the place and the way you naturally move together. Kathrin gives direction when it helps, while leaving enough room for spontaneous moments, movement and everything that develops in between. The result is a set of photographs that feels specific to the two of you — from quiet closeness to the moments that make you laugh until you forget about the camera entirely.

Driven by people, art, music and the details that make a story distinct, her work moves between quiet observation and deliberate direction — always with curiosity for what is happening beyond the obvious.
