After their civil ceremony, the couple chose to give the day space instead of rushing forward. On the way to their couple session, we stopped at Upstalsboom — a historic gathering place where East Frisian chieftains once met to speak about freedom, independence and self-determination.
For this couple, the place felt deeply fitting. Not as a loud statement, but as a quiet moment of reflection. A location shaped by history, carrying a sense of autonomy and presence.
We then continued to Aurich Castle. Its calm atmosphere and clear architecture offered the perfect setting for intimate couple portraits that focused on connection rather than performance.
The session unfolded gently, without pressure. The images reflect closeness, trust and a natural way of being together.
Afterwards, the couple celebrated with their closest people at the venue. Conversations, laughter and shared moments filled the space, creating an atmosphere that felt warm and genuine.
