Arco de Tajao - Tenerife

Not traditional but still love

Arco de Tajao feels raw and quiet. Volcanic rock, open space, almost no distractions. A place that doesn’t add anything — it simply allows things to exist.

This is where we photographed the couple. She wore a fitted mermaid-style wedding dress, paired with boots and sunglasses. He chose a white shirt and black trousers. Not a traditional look, but a deliberate one.

They moved naturally through the landscape. No over-directing, no constant adjustments. The images come from what is already there — presence, connection and a shared rhythm.

Not for everyone

The strong light, clean lines of the rocks and reduced styling shape the visual language. The sunglasses subtly break expectations without feeling forced.

This creates a blend between wedding photography and editorial imagery — modern, quiet and understated. The landscapes of Tenerife offer exactly that balance: minimal enough to stay focused, strong enough to carry the image.

This kind of wedding photography speaks to couples who don’t see themselves in traditional roles, but prefer something more personal.

This session shows that wedding imagery doesn’t need to follow expectations. When style, location and intention align, the result feels clear, timeless and honest.

If you’re looking for wedding images that feel like you — not like a template — I’d love to work with you.
